The Waikiki is a fun variety to watch grow because it's constantly changing: The leaves start out plain old green but then develop their white veins and a purple dot. Then, the purple dot gradually expands into the white veins. Finally, the veining turns primarily purple. Please note that elephant ears' attributes become more defined when they mature.
