Lavender Provence

Bring the fragrant feel of Provence to a sunny garden with a perennial that pairs silvery-green foliage with tall spikes of purple flowers. Provence Lavender, Lavandula × intermedia ‘Provence’, is drought-tolerant and low-maintenance once established.

Use it to define a border, soften a pathway, or add Mediterranean character to a cottage garden. Its blooms attract bees and butterflies, bringing movement to the garden as the purple flowers rise above the foliage.

• Sunny-site choice: Give it full sun for 6–8 hours daily and well-drained soil.
• Watering routine: Water regularly while it establishes, then sparingly; let the soil dry between waterings and avoid soggy conditions.
• Drought tolerance: Once established, it suits gardens where a drought-tolerant perennial is welcome.
• Garden presence: Mature plants reach approximately 24–36 inches tall and 24–36 inches wide.
• Growing range: It grows in USDA Zones 5–9.

Let the silvery-green leaves and purple flower spikes add a fragrant, graceful accent to a sunny stretch of your garden.
